Medan, 1 December 2025 – PT Prima Pengembangan Kawasan (PPK), in synergy with PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional I, has established an evacuation post for residents affected by a disaster in the Medan area. The post is located at Pelindo’s former office. This initiative reflects the companies’ concern in supporting emergency response efforts and assisting affected communities.
The evacuation post provides a safe space as well as basic necessities for disaster-affected residents in Medan. This effort aims to ensure the safety, comfort, and fulfillment of urgent needs of the community during the emergency response period.
The participation of PT Prima Pengembangan Kawasan in this activity represents a tangible form of synergy among entities within the Pelindo Group, while also reflecting the company’s commitment to carrying out its social and humanitarian responsibilities in its operational areas.
Executive Director I of Pelindo Regional I, Mr. Jonedi Ramli, stated that the establishment of the evacuation post is an expression of the company’s empathy toward communities facing difficult times.
“Hopefully, our warmth and care can help ease the burden of the affected communities,” said Jonedi Ramli.
In line with this, the Acting Director of PT Prima Pengembangan Kawasan, Mr. Sutanto, conveyed that PT PPK’s involvement in this initiative is a form of the company’s concern and social responsibility toward surrounding communities.
“PPK is committed to being present and taking an active role in helping communities affected by disasters, especially in the Medan area. Through synergy with Pelindo Regional I, we hope that the presence of this evacuation post can provide a sense of security and help alleviate the burden on residents during the emergency response period,” said Sutanto.
Going forward, Pelindo Regional I and PT Prima Pengembangan Kawasan will continue to coordinate with local governments and relevant stakeholders to ensure optimal management of evacuees in Medan and to support the post-disaster recovery process.
