Kuala Tanjung, 24 June 2026 – In commemoration of World Environment Day 2026, PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva (PSL) Group, through its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Program, carried out a tree-planting initiative as a demonstration of the company’s commitment to preserving the environment while supporting climate change mitigation efforts.
In 2026, Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva Group targets the planting of 2,500 tree seedlings across two of the company’s operational areas, namely Kuala Tanjung, North Sumatra, and Perawang, Riau. As the first phase, a total of 1.250 tree seedlings were planted on Wednesday (June 24) in Kuala Indah Village, Hamlet I, Batu Bara Regency, which is the operational area of Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva’s subsidiary, PT Prima Pengembangan Kawasan (PT PPK).
The event was attended by Director of PT Prima Pengembangan Kawasan Sutanto, President Director of PT Prima Indonesia Logistik Ichwal Fauzi Harahap, Director of PT Prima Indonesia Logistik Indra Pamulihan, Vice President of Corporate Communication, Protocol, and Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) of PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva Retno Satiti, Head of Kuala Indah Village Matsyah, community leaders, community groups, and residents of Kuala Indah Village.
This tree-planting initiative is part of the Pelindo Group’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Program series in commemorating World Environment Day, which is observed annually on June 5. The activity represents the company’s tangible contribution to supporting environmental preservation while improving the quality of ecosystems surrounding its operational areas.
World Environment Day serves as a reminder that the world is currently facing the Triple Planetary Crisis, namely climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental pollution. Therefore, collaboration among all stakeholders is required to deliver concrete actions capable of creating sustainable positive impacts.
In line with the 2026 World Environment Day theme, #NowForClimate, Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva invites local governments, communities, community organizations, and all stakeholders to play an active role in preserving the environment through concrete and sustainable actions.
Director of PT Prima Pengembangan Kawasan, Sutanto, stated in his remarks that this initiative is part of the company’s commitment to conducting responsible and sustainability-oriented business practices.
“This tree-planting initiative is not merely a ceremonial activity, but a long-term investment for the environment and society. Through this Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Program, we aim to deliver tangible benefits by improving environmental quality, strengthening the ecological functions of the area, supporting carbon emission absorption, and creating green spaces that can be enjoyed by both present and future generations. Meanwhile, the Head of Kuala Indah Village, Matsyah, expressed his appreciation for Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva Group’s concern for the environment and the local community of Kuala Indah Village.

Through this tree-planting initiative, Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva hopes that the planted seedlings will grow into green spaces that provide ecological benefits, improve environmental quality, and serve as a symbol of collaboration among the company, the government, and the community in protecting the Earth for a better life for future generations.
The tree-planting program in Kuala Tanjung is part of Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva Group’s target of planting 2,500 tree seedlings in 2026. Similar activities will subsequently be carried out in the company’s operational area in Perawang, Riau, as a demonstration of the company’s continued commitment to supporting sustainable development and environmental preservation.
