Medan, November 12, 2024 — PT Prima Pembangunan Kawasan (PT. PPK) as a subsidiary of PT. Pelindo Solusi Logistik (PT. PSL) which is part of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) (Pelindo group) received a visit from the Board of Commissioners (Dekom) of PT. PSL. The visit was part of the work plan and budget of the Board of Commissioners of PT. PSL on Monday and Tuesday last week.
In this visit, Dekom PT. PSL planned to visit PT. Prima Indonesia Logistis and PT. Prima Pengembangan Kawasan. Both are subsidiary entities of PT. PSL. Those present at the visit were Abdul Hamid Dipopramono, Sahat Manaor Panggabean and Adre Febrinal who are the Board of Commissioners of PT. PSL as well as Herman Susilo (Director of Finance, HR and Risk Management) and Ruri Indrasari Rachmaputri (Director of Commercial & Engineering). Visit of Dekom and Directors of PT. This PSL was received by the Acting Director of PT. Prima Pengembangan Kawasan (PT. PPK), Sutanto, in Kuala Tanjung.
This visit aims to review the development of the strategic industrial area and evaluate the potential for further development in order to support initiatives to increase logistics and industrial capacity in North Sumatra.
Sutanto, as director of PT. PPK delivered a presentation to the Board of Commissioners regarding efforts to accelerate the operation of the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area (KIKT) through projects implemented in 2024 and is also preparing an office for the site office at KIKT. “PT. PPK is currently carrying out several projects in order to meet the requirements for the establishment of the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area, including the Land Clearing project, the creation of a site office and basic infrastructure,” explained Sutanto in his presentation. KIKT is one of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) that is continuously monitored by the central government. “PT. PPK is also trying to secure assets, manage permits, and carry out productivity studies on the land it owns,” he continued.
The Board of Commissioners of PT. PSL expressed its appreciation for the efforts made by PT. PPK in accelerating the establishment of KIKT. Commissioner of PT. PSL also expressed appreciation for the hard work done by PT. PPK in developing this industrial area and emphasized the importance of collaboration between PSL and PT. PPK to promote the area as a strategic integrated logistics and industrial center. “Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area has great potential to support national logistics and supply chain needs. With this collaboration, it can accelerate the progress of this industrial area to become a new economic center,” said Abdulhamid Dipopramono (Independent Commissioner).
After discussing and providing input, the group of Commissioners of PT. PSL conducted a field visit to the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area land to see firsthand the progress of infrastructure development on the KIKT land. Accompanied by the management team of PT. PPK, Commissioner PSL saw the area that was in the final stages of the land clearing process.
PT. PPK is the manager of the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area which is one of the National Strategic Projects determined by the government. PT. PPK is committed to realizing KIKT and hopes to be able to contribute to development and improve the economy in Batu Bara Regency in general and in Kuala Tanjung in particular.
