Medan, August 27, 2024 — To celebrate the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia (HUT RI), PT. Prima Pembangunan Kawasan (PT. PPK) is a subsidiary of PT. Pelindo Solusi Logistik which is part of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) (Pelindo Group), is committed to Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) in the form of planting trees on Wednesday (14/08).
This program is part of the ongoing efforts of PT. Prima Pengembangan Kawasan and SPSL Group under the auspices of the Pelindo Group in supporting environmental preservation and beautifying the surrounding environment. This activity involves the active participation of employees, work partners, and the local community. In the event, PT. Prima Pengembangan Kawasan targeted the planting of 790 hard trees such as sugar palm trees, Tanjung trees, banyan trees, dadap cangkring trees, and sawo kecik trees. It is expected that this activity can contribute to improving air quality, reducing the impact of global warming, and creating green spaces that are beneficial to the community.
President Director of PT. Prima Pengembangan Kawasan, Mr. Akhirman, said, “In this celebration of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day, we want to remember the spirit of independence by making a real contribution to the environment. Tree planting is one form of our concern for the earth and the future of future generations. We hope that this program can inspire more parties to participate in protecting and caring for the environment.” In addition to the tree planting activity, PT. PPK also sent its employees to participate in competitions held by the Pelindo Group in Belawan. Through its favorite sport, namely Tennis, PT. PPK, which is part of the Joint Team, won First Place. The awarding of certificates and prizes was received directly by the President Director of PT. PPK representing the Joint Team.
