Jakarta, 20 April 2026 – PT Pelabuhan Indonesia together with subsidiary entities and strategic partners continue to strengthen the commitment in the development of national and international logistics ecosystems through the holding of the Progress Meeting of the Kuala Tanjung Ecosystem Development Priority Program on Monday (20/4). This activity becomes part of the continuous effort in encouraging the optimization of the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Zone which is integrated with the Kuala Tanjung Port as an important node in the national logistics network that is connected with international trade.

The meeting was attended by Drajat Sulistyo as Deputy Director of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia, Farid Padang as Commercial Director (online), as well as Prasetyo as Business Development Director (online). Also present were Joko Noerhudha as President Director of PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva, as well as Rima Novianti as Director of Strategy and Commercial of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (online). Also attending were Sutanto as Acting Director of PT Prima Pengembangan Kawasan, as well as Rudi Susanto as President Director of PT Prima Multi Terminal, together with representatives from SKHA Consulting, Umbra Strategic Advisory, and Sucofindo.

In the meeting, it was discussed comprehensively the development of priority programs which include the development of the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Zone which currently is still at the infrastructure construction stage, as well as the strengthening of the role of Kuala Tanjung Port in supporting national and international logistics connectivity. The discussion included implementation progress, alignment of strategy between entities, as well as the identification of acceleration steps in order to ensure the readiness of the zone in supporting large-scale logistics activities in the future.

In line with that, the development of the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Zone is directed to become a port-based industrial estate that is connected directly with international shipping routes. With a strategic geographical position, this zone has the potential to be developed gradually as part of the international logistics chain, especially in supporting trade flows in the Asia region and its surroundings.

Furthermore, the integration between the industrial zone and the port is hoped to be able to create supply chain efficiency, suppress logistics costs, as well as increase investment attractiveness. This effort also becomes part of the long-term strategy in encouraging the transformation of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia as an integrated logistics service provider that is globally competitive.

“The development of the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Zone and Port is part of the long-term strategy of the company in strengthening the national logistics ecosystem. Although currently it is still in the infrastructure construction stage, we are optimistic this zone in the future will develop into one of the logistics nodes that has competitiveness at the national level and is connected with the international logistics network,” said Drajat Sulistyo.

In the future, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia together with all stakeholders will continue to strengthen synergy and acceleration of strategic program implementation in order to encourage the economic growth of the region, especially in the western region of Indonesia, as well as increasing national logistics competitiveness sustainably.
