Medan, February 16, 2024 — PT. Prima Pembangunan Kawasan (PPK) is a subsidiary of PT. Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL) continues to make efforts to develop the company’s business, one of which is the land development plan and infrastructure development scheduled to be carried out this year. In line with this and to encourage accelerated development, the President Director of PT. Pelindo (Persero) Arif Suhartono visited the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area in Kuala Tanjung village on Friday, February 2, 2024 yesterday.
President Director of PT. Pelindo (Persero) Arif Suhartono stated that PT. Pelindo is currently focusing on developing one of these National Strategic Projects (PSN), “Pelindo will continue to encourage a well-connected ecosystem between the port and the industrial area (hinterland) to facilitate the flow of goods. One of the goals is to create more efficient logistics costs and encourage strengthening the regional economy,” said Arif Suhartono.
Also present at the visit was, among others, the Finance Director of PT. Pelindo (Persro) Mega Satria, Director of Strategy and Business Development of PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL) Retno Soelistianti, President Director of PT. PPK Jansen Sitohang, SVP Operation and Technic of PT. PPK Budi Setiadi and other related officials and staff.
On that occasion,the President Director of PT. PPK Jansen Sitohang welcomed the visit, “Regarding the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area, we are currently encouraging the construction of basic infrastructure to be built immediately and we also plan to develop land for better business processes which are an effort to improve the country’s economy.” For information, the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area is only one kilometer from Kuala Tanjung Port. Last year, PPK cleared 57 hectares of land in one stretch. Starting in early 2024, PPK will focus on the development of the first phase, namely land clearing and land preparation that has been cleared. The next two phases are the construction work of the gate and entrance road, as well as the basic infrastructure work phase.
