
Medan, October 2024 — PT. Prima Pembangunan Kawasan (PPK) as a subsidiary of PT. Pelindo Solusi Logistik which is part of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) (Pelindo) Group always coordinates with stakeholders in the licensing sector in order to accelerate the completion of the permits needed to operate the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area (KIKT), Friday (10/25/2024)
Held at the PT. PMT Kuala Tanjung Office, a meeting was held between PT. PPK with representatives from KPPIP (Committee for the Acceleration of Priority Infrastructure Provision), Ministry of Industry and Head of Industry of North Sumatra Province, Secretary of the Batu Bara Regency Industry Service, Head of Division. Batu Bara Regency Industry and other representatives on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
The meeting discussed the progress of the development of the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area (KIKT) and the support needed to operate the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area.
PT. PPK represented by Plt. Director Sutanto, conveyed several things related to the progress of the KIKT development. “PT. PPK has completed the land acquisition process for the KIKT land. Furthermore, we will accelerate the development of basic infrastructure in KIKT and then will process the necessary permits,” he said on that occasion.
Sutanto also asked for support from Stakeholders in the Government both at the Central and Regional levels to support the acceleration of the operation of KIKT, especially the issuance of permits. Mrs. Dewi (the nickname of Mrs. Supartien Kumala Dewi from the KPPIP representative) said that KIKT is one of the National Strategic Projects that is of concern to the Government. “The operation of KIKT is eagerly awaited by the Government because it means that investors who work in the industrial area will need thousands of workers which means it will drive the economy of the surrounding community. KPPIP will assist in processing the required permits.” he said in response to PT. PPK’s explanation and request.
Dewi also said that PT. PPK should coordinate with related parties such as PLN for electricity supply, Pertagas for gas supply, and PDAM for water availability and others.
Meanwhile, Bayu (I Made Bayu’s nickname from the PMO Kemenperin) said that PT. PPK must immediately take care of permits related to the management of the Industrial Area. “We will provide support in the form of direct consultation regarding the required requirements,” he said.
It is hoped that the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area will operate soon and can absorb investment so that it can help the economy in Batubara Regency, concluded Bayu.
